                                                                                                                               Missions Connection at Southside Baptist Church ~ Women’s Missionary Union: Founded in 1888, the main purpose of WMU is to educate and involve preschoolers, children, youth, and adults in the cause of Christian missions. o WMU Emphasis for 2010—2012: Unhindered! o March: Week of prayer and Missions study for North American Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. o November 7, 2011: Baptist Women’s Word Day of Prayer o December 4-11, 2011: Week of Prayer and Mission Study for International Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. ~ Girls-In-Action (GA’s): o For girls, grades 1 - 5 o Meets Wednesday nights, 6:00—7:00 p.m., 2nd floor of our Family Life Center. o Study missions, earn badges, engage in missions projects ~ Mission Friends: o For Preschoolers, ages 2 - Kindergarten o Meets Wednesday nights, 6:00—7:00 p.m. Children’s wing of our Educational Building. o Study missions, earn badges, and engage in missions projects. ~ Brotherhood: o Royal Ambassadors® (RAs®) is a Bible-centered, church-based, Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys, grades 1–6. ~ Covington Baptist Association: CBA looks to support churches as they seek to become Acts 1:8 churches, reaching the world with the Gospel here and to the ends of the earth. o Operates three Christian Service Centers: Andalusia, Florala, and Opp. o Food distribution ministry through the service centers. o CBA is in partnership with the following missions: Ukraine-Rivne Ecuador Haiti Michigan o Scholarship Fund: mission scholarships are available through the CBA.
