College Ministry at Southside Baptist Church

One of the Bible teaching arms of Southside Baptist Church is our Sunday School program. Our Sunday School (SS) program is designed to support and encourage the mission of Southside Baptist Church. Our Sunday School is designed around tasks that help our church fulfill her purpose. Each SS class is actually our church at work in fulfilling God’s commission to us as His people. When you attend a SS class here at Southside Baptist Church, you should find that class build upon the follow tasks. - To reach people for Bible study. It is the purpose of the SS to find, cultivate, love, and enroll people who are not Christians in Bible study. - To teach the Bible. The Bible is the textbook of the SS. - To witness to persons about Christ and lead them into church membership. The SS also encourages those who accept Christ as their Savior and Lord to follow through with scriptural baptism and church membership. - To minister to SS members and non-members. - To lead members to worship. Worship is a vital part of the life of a growing Christian and church. The SS positively promotes the involvement of its members in regular congregational worship. - To interpret and undergird the work of the church and the denomination. Southside Baptist Church provides a biblically base SS class for all ages. We provide… - A nursery department (birth to one year old) - A preschool department (two years old through five years old) - A children’s department (1^st through the 5^th grades) - A youth department (6^th through 8^th grades and 9^th through 12^th grades) - An adult department: - Ladies classes (I, IV, V) - Men’s classes (II, III, IV) - Couples classes (I, II, III, IV) - Adult Singles I - Singles (18-25 years old) - Nursing Home class - New Members Class
